Four Seasons:

1. Winter – This tableau depicts “Weather Gods” atop a suspended snow storm cloud, throwing snow balls and thunderbolts down upon a salesman who’s attempting to sell a refrigerator to an Eskimo.

2. Spring – This tableau is a takeoff on the “Rites of Spring”. A queen bee is perched on a suspended flower-entwined swing that is set in the middle of a raised boxing ring, which is surrounded by daisy flowers. As a bell sounds, two drone bees fight each other off as they attempt to climb a rope ladder up to the Queen and mount her as she playfully kicks them away. A butterfly referee, harnessed to a winch, flies about monitoring the proceedings. As the bell sounds, ending the round, four of the daisies split up in twos, go off to the opposing corners and act as corner men for the two boxing bees. A beautiful rose walks around the ring holding up a sign in the shape of the sun, signifying rounds.

3. Summer – A beach party is in full swing as two swim-suit clad couples are dancing to a continuous “Beach Boys” medley around a small sandy area, situated next to a lifeguard tower. A lifeguard accompanied by two bikini-clad bathing beauties, sits in the tower oblivious to a “drowning” swimmer who’s wrestling with an octopus in the middle of a wading pool, covered by mechanical moving waves. A sun moves back and forth on a mechanical arm.

4. Autumn – Six farmers with rakes in hand are sitting on stools around a hay strewn bar watching a beautiful foliated tree perform a strip tease upon a small raised platform above the bar. As the tree seductively removes her leafed branches, a bartender attends to the farmers’ drink orders. After the tree ends the strip, it exits by a small catwalk attached to the platform and disappears behind a cordoned off area, as another tree appears from the same curtain enter and begins to perform another strip tease.

CLEANING COMMANDOES

A large truck arrives at a busy plaza, as two drivers get out of the truck, open the back door and connect a wide ramp to the back of the truck and the street. Two bicycle riders ride down the plank, dismount and using what appears to be an oversized metal detector, begin to perform some tests on the plaza. Immediately, an alarm goes off and they return to the truck to activate a hand driven siren.

Suddenly flash-pots detonate in a ring around the plaza and 12 small motor scooters, driven by camouflaged army commandoes, roar down the ramp and begin to circle the infected part of the plaza. Some of the scooters have been converted to hold various cleaning tools such as an oversized industrial vacuum cleaner and portable air blowers. The commandoes attack the infected area, but at times have difficulty controlling the various cleaning tools. At one point the vacuum cleaner goes out of control and the commandoes have to do everything in their power to try and correct the problem.

After finally beating the litter down to controllable garbage bags, a trumpet is sounded. The commandoes line up in attention and four color guards bearing garbage crested banners and flags march down out of the truck. A jeep arrives with a cigar smoking general and his aide to review the ranks. Four names are called out and the respective commandoes step out and are awarded medals by the general. After the awards presentation, the general takes the cigar out of his mouth, throws it on the ground and steps on it.

As the general and his aide drive off, the color guard marches back into the truck, followed in turn by the commandoes and finally the two bike riders, and the truck drives away from the plaza to another destination

FOUNTAIN ANIMATION

This animation is intended for night performances, as it requires special lighting effects and fireworks. The audience arrives to find the fountain shut off and a huge darkened shape looming behind it. On cue, a small spotlight hits the fountain, which is turned on and a school of fish people and mermaids enter and playfully dance about. Their reverie is suddenly interrupted by a sudden cannon blast, as lights fade up to reveal a “Spanish Galleon” flying the “Jolly Roger”. Singing pirates appear on the ship’s bow, drinking from large goblets and acrobatically fighting amongst themselves. The fight ends with a spirited finale in which they all collapse upon themselves. One pirate who had climbed up the crows nest during the fight, suddenly yells out “Land ho!” A gong is sounded and native Indians wearing canoe costumes dance in and around the fountain, greeting the pirates, who in turn climb down off the ship and join the natives in a tribal feast.

The pirates are shown the treasure of the island – a gold plated pot that lies in the protection of the mermaids and fish people. The pirates show immense interest in the gold pot and pay special notice as to its location. The natives accompany the pirates back to their ship and exit. A small band of pirates furtively make their way down out of the ship, kidnaps several mermaids, steals the gold pot and returns to the ship. The remaining fish people alert the natives to the tragedy. The enraged natives return to the ship and set it ablaze, causing the cannons to explode. The pirates race about the ship in an attempt to put the blaze out. The fish people and the natives climb up into the ship and begin to fight with the pirates, as fireworks explode building up to an exciting climax. Smoke raises from the defeated pirate ship, as the natives, mermaids and fish people parade the pirates around the fountain ala a “Busby Berkeley” grand finale
